News Emitel partners with the 18th Chopin Competition

Emitel has become a partner of the 18th Fryderyk Chopin International Piano Competition, the most important musical event in Poland and one of the most important musical events in the world. The competition is organised by the Fryderyk Chopin Institute.

The Chopin Competition, which takes place every 5 years, plays an enormous role in popularising Chopin’s music. It reveals the greatest pianistic talents, providing young musicians with the most effective start in their international career. It attracts a growing number of pianistic talents from all over the world – 452 entries were submitted in 2015 and over 500 in 2020. The event attracts the attention of not only the international music community and music lovers, but also those who have little contact with classical music on a daily basis. Auditions for the competition will take place on 17–18 April and the competition itself in October.

We feel extremely honoured and distinguished to be a partner of the 18th Chopin Competition. It was with great pleasure that we decided to support the competition. The music of Fryderyk Chopin is our national good, which is worth promoting and popularising all over the world. By becoming involved in the Chopin Competition, we also want to contribute to this,” said Andrzej J. Kozłowski, President of the Management Board of Emitel.

Emitel has been supporting high culture events for years. Last year, the company was, among others, a partner of the Józef Brandt 1841-1915 exhibition, organised as part of the 3 × Independent project at the National Museum in Warsaw.
