The company will also support other events commemorating the composer’s birthday anniversaries, Mozart’s Requiem concerts in October, conferences promoting the Chopin Competition worldwide and the activities of the Fryderyk Chopin Museum in Warsaw and Żelazowa Wola.
Emitel has previously supported the Fryderyk Chopin National Institute as a partner of the 18th Chopin Competition in 2020 and 2021. The partnership signals the company’s commitment to supporting cultural events at the highest level, demonstrating its consistent support for Polish culture.
‘We are proud to continue our collaboration with the Fryderyk Chopin National Institute. With our support, we want not only to contribute to promoting Chopin’s works, but also to highlight and showcase Polish culture internationally,’ said Andrzej J. Kozłowski, President of the Management Board of Emitel.
Emitel’s cooperation with the Fryderyk Chopin National Institute will start with the upcoming 20th Chopin and His Europe Festival, which will take place from 18 August to 8 September 2024, bringing together the most outstanding artists from all over the world. The Festival is one of the key areas of collaboration between the company and the Fryderyk Chopin National Institute. This year’s edition titled Chopin and the Rest of the World brings together more than 600 musicians, performing works by 65 composers representing different eras. The festival programme features three concerts at prestigious venues in Warsaw, including the National Philharmonic and the Grand Theatre, with performances of classic pieces and lesser-known works, with a special focus on works by Bach and Moniuszko. The festival never fails to attract an international audience and the concerts will be broadcast on radio and online.
Emitel actively supports the development of culture in Poland – the company is involved in local and national cultural initiatives. Pursuing its ESG strategy, the company continues its partnership with the Fryderyk Chopin National Institute, supports the 64th Krakow Film Festival, as well as sponsors the TOTUS TUUS Awards for achievements in the field of Christian culture. Emitel is also involved in the renovation of the Church of St Anne in Wilanów and actively supports radio initiatives and projects enabling listeners to experience classical music at the highest level. The company has also supported the Steinway Solo project at Radio Krakow, thanks to which the Romana Bobrowska Studio was equipped with a new concert grand piano, which allows it to host world-class concerts.
