Emitel has published another edition of its ESG Report, summarising the company’s sustainability, social responsibility and corporate governance activities. The report was prepared following international GRI standards, considering the new requirements under the CSRD.
In 2024, Emitel continued its efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and improve the energy efficiency of its infrastructure. Investments in renewable energy sources and purchasing energy with a guarantee of origin avoided nearly 57,500 tonnes of CO₂ emissions.
The company also actively supports social, sports and educational initiatives. For years, it has been a partner of the Fryderyk Chopin Institute and the Chopin Competition and supports the KKP Warszawa women’s football team and the Legia Warszawa wheelchair fencing section. It cooperates with the “Zwolnieni z Teorii” programme, which helps young people to develop future competencies.
Emitel also remembers to do its bit for the environment – including by being involved in the restoration of the peregrine falcon population. Seven chicks of this rare species have already hatched at the Dobra Nowogardzka site in recent years.
– Sustainability and environmental responsibility are the foundations on which Emitel consistently builds its business. In the face of dynamic regulatory changes and growing social expectations, we treat the realisation of ESG principles as an obligation and an opportunity for long-term development, strengthening our market position and creating value for a wide range of stakeholders. We will continue to invest in infrastructure development, new technologies and innovative services, including addressable advertising (DAI), smart city solutions and drone flight management. Infrastructure is key for us, but even more important are the people – the experts who can use it to create quality services – underlines Maciej Pilipczuk, President of the Management Board, Emitel.
Emitel has been developing its human resources policy for years, putting people at the heart of its strategy. The company creates an environment conducive to development, cares about the team’s well-being and promotes open communication.
This approach aligns with ESG values and received recognition from the Top Employer programme, with Emitel receiving a prestigious award.
For Emitel, the ESG 2024 report is not just a set of data and indicators. It is a record of activities that reflect the values close to the company and the people who make it up, and it also shows how these values are translated into concrete actions. We encourage you to read it.
