For the 19th consecutive time, the Responsible Business Forum in Poland has published the latest edition of their Odpowiedzialny biznes w Polsce.
Dobre praktyki [Responsible Business in Poland. Best Practices] report, summing up the most extraordinary year in recent history. The report answers the questions regarding responsible business in the year of the global pandemic.

The Report published by the Responsible Business Forum once again includes best practices in the field of CSR implemented by Emitel, including our readiness to provide help, psychological support for our employees, promoting health and sports activities – in total, the report mentions 15 long-term practices, which have been in place for years, as well as 9 freshly introduced ones.

The pandemic had a huge impact on the economy and everyday life of all Poles, Emitel notwithstanding, which is why the company decided to undertake a number of actions in the context of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. More importantly, for the Polish authorities and institutions involved in the fight against the pandemic, television and radio are some of the key basic channels which enable communication with the society – for many Poles, including senior citizens in particular, it is often the only source of information. Thus, it was a key priority for Emitel to ensure the continuity of broadcasting services while maintaining the highest safety standards, applicable to all employees and partners of the company.

“For all of us at Emitel, CSR is not only about caring for our employees – but also about helping others and being able to offer support depending on current needs, which emerged in connection with the coronavirus. It would be impossible to list and outline all the initiatives carried out by our company; however, none of them happened by accident – their inclusion in the list of best practices featured in the RBF report is the best testament to this. We operate according to our strategy and carry out our activities in line with our principles and assumptions since we are well-aware of the fact that the trust we build today will bring us benefits at some time in the future. As I have mentioned many times to date, we are doing our best to run our business in a responsible manner – 2020 was the moment of truth, the year that tested this conviction. I believe that Emitel managed to ace this test – said Andrzej J. Kozłowski – President of the Management Board of Emitel S.A.

The Responsible Business in Poland. Best Practices report is the key regular publication of the Responsible Business Forum, released annually since 2002. It reviews the activities of companies who reported their CSR activities, as well as presents summaries and conclusions concerning the most important issues related to responsible business in Poland in a given year. All practices featured in the subsequent editions of the report are published in the special search engine

The latest edition of the report featured 1958 examples of best practices submitted by 225 companies, compared to 1696 and 214 respectively in last year’s edition. What is more, the Report featured 57 SMEs – 2 more than last year. This year’s edition set a new record in terms of the number of best practices featured in a single publication, with the number of companies trailing slightly behind the best issue in that regard in the history of the Report. The number of nearly 2000 CSR activities comprises two categories of practices – the first of them includes new practices, which were submitted for the first time. This year’s edition of the Report featured 1013 of them, compared to 712 in the previous publication. The other group consists of long-term practices, which were already featured on the pages of this publication and carried out last year – this year we saw 945 of such CSR initiatives, a minor drop from 983 featured last year.
