Emitel, the operator of terrestrial radio and television infrastructure in Poland, has again become a Technology Partner of the Krakow Film Festival. It is one of the most important and highly regarded events in Europe. For the 65th time, the event will bring together many cinema enthusiasts and present outstanding productions worldwide. This year’s Festival edition will take place in cinemas from 25 May to 1 June 2025 and online on the KFF VOD platform from 30 May to 15 June 2025.
The Krakow Film Festival_insider is Poland’s largest celebration of documentary, short and animated cinema. For several decades, the event has been creating a unique space for dialogue – both between established filmmakers and debuting artists, as well as the audience, which – thanks to numerous discussion panels – has the opportunity to establish direct contact with the authors and heroes and heroines of the presented stories. The festival is also a place of premiere screenings, joyful meetings of the lovers of the Tenth Muse, emotions and reflections on the world, which audiences can experience in the cosy halls of legendary Krakow cinemas or at home.
– Film, like radio or television, has been shaping the collective imagination for years – so Emitel’s presence at the Krakow Film Festival is natural. By supporting this unique event, we want to be close to creators, audiences and ideas that inspire and build bridges between people. We believe that culture has the power to bring people together – and every such event is a space where technology meets art. As Emitel, we proudly support those moments when image, sound and emotion create a new quality. I wish all festival participants that this time is full of emotions, discoveries and encounters that will stay with them for a long time – said Maciej Pilipczuk, President of the Management Board of Emitel.
Emitel’s systematic involvement in cultural events is an integral part of the company’s ESG strategy, through which it has actively supported – through radio and television – not only mass culture but also initiatives of the highest artistic rank for years. The company’s values are also close to supporting young talents and nurturing tradition. Its growing status as a patron of culture and promoter of Polish heritage manifests itself in the fact that since 2021, Emitel has been one of the partners of the International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition – one of the most prestigious music events in the world.
Moreover, an additional attraction of this year’s edition will be the illumination of the Emitel Tower in Krzemionki, which will light up in the colours of the visual identity of the 65th Krakow Film Festival. The light installation, designed according to a concept by Przemek Dębowski, will decorate the building known to Cracovians every evening from 25 May to 1 June 2025.
