Emitel is entering the data centre market with the launch of advanced colocation, cloud computing and data processing services. The expansion into this new segment broadens the company’s portfolio of digital solutions and responds to growing demand not only in Poland, but across the wider Central and Eastern European region.
The facility, located just outside Warsaw, marks another important milestone in Emitel’s development — a company specialising in radio and television broadcasting, telecommunications infrastructure, and smart city digitalisation projects. Built to Tier III+ standards, the data centre is designed for clients seeking the highest levels of service quality and operational reliability. The offer is aimed at, among others, broadcasters expanding multimedia services, enterprises across multiple industries, as well as financial and public sector institutions.
“Entering the data centre market is a natural evolution for Emitel and another step in delivering our strategy of becoming one of the leaders of Poland’s digital transformation,” said Maciej Pilipczuk, Chief Executive Officer of Emitel. “Our facility is a state-of-the-art data centre located in a highly convenient and accessible location, particularly for customers operating within the Warsaw metropolitan area. We provide best-in-class services, ensuring security, reliability and scalability. This development also reflects the rapid growth of technologies such as artificial intelligence, which require ever-greater computing power and advanced infrastructure,” he added.
For years, Emitel has invested in the development of modern communications systems and infrastructure, maintaining exceptionally high operational standards. The company is one of the few market players that relies on its own in-house technical teams, responsible for ensuring the security and stability of the delivered services. The launch of the data centre near Warsaw confirms these ambitions and opens up new opportunities for the company within the digital economy sector. Poland is widely recognised as one of Europe’s most attractive destinations for investment in digital infrastructure, supported by strong macroeconomic fundamentals and robust GDP growth forecasts. Emitel is exceptionally well-positioned to capitalise on these trends. The launch of the new business line forms part of the “Buy, Build & Grow” strategy pursued by Cordiant Digital Infrastructure Limited, the owner of Emitel.
The data centre has been designed and built in accordance with reliability standards exceeding the Tier III benchmarks defined by the Uptime Institute. The facility currently offers a total IT load capacity of 2 MW, with further expansion capacity.
