Emitel, a leading integrator of terrestrial digital infrastructure, has been honoured with the prestigious “Investor Without Borders” award in the category “Foreign Investor in Poland”. The jury recognised the company for a series of investments strengthening the resilience of critical infrastructure, as well as for implementing solutions based on renewable energy sources. The awards ceremony took place on 22 April 2026 during a gala accompanying the 18th European Economic Congress (EEC) in Katowice.

Emitel is part of the British fund Cordiant Digital Infrastructure Limited. Through its broadcasting network, television and radio signals are accessible in households across Poland. The company designs advanced wireless communication systems and, as a trusted partner, provides tower infrastructure for mobile network operators alongside Smart City solutions for local authorities. Over the past three years, the company has invested more than PLN 215 million in the development and modernisation of its network and services.

“Digital infrastructure forms the foundation for the development of modern services for both citizens and businesses. Investment in its expansion and modernisation is essential if we are to ensure economic growth and enhance national security. This is why it remains a key pillar of our strategy,” said Maciej Pilipczuk, President of Emitel.

The company delivers complex investment programmes focused on ensuring the highest possible levels of resilience and security across its infrastructure, which is classified as critical from a national perspective. In 2025, Emitel completed a photovoltaic farm development project, enhancing infrastructure to mitigate potential disruptions to the energy supply. The solution—specifically designed for the company—meets the stringent EN 55011 standard for electromagnetic interference, ensuring, among other things: encrypted transmission of operational data, real-time system monitoring, proactive threat detection, and the capability for local system management. As part of five investment phases, photovoltaic installations were deployed across 95 sites nationwide. The total system capacity reached 3.61 MW, generating 7.18 GWh of clean energy to date—contributing meaningfully to reduced operating costs and lower CO₂ emissions.

Emitel continues to expand its portfolio of tower infrastructure both organically and through acquisitions. By the end of 2025, its infrastructure comprised nearly 800 towers.

Through consistent investment, the company is strengthening its position as a key partner for broadcasters in Poland, delivering solutions based on the latest technological standards. Emitel is also a reliable corporate taxpayer, having contributed over PLN 167 million in corporate income tax to the State Treasury over the past three years.

The “Investor Without Borders” competition is organised by the PTWP Group. Nominees are put forward by representatives of business, economic self-government institutions, as well as government agencies and administration. The award criteria include the scale of investment, its impact on the potential and innovation of the Polish economy, as well as its significance for the domestic market and the international perception of Poland.
