Emitel, Poland’s leading digital infrastructure operator, has become the technology partner of PGE Projekt Warszawa – bronze medallist of the Polish Championship and participant in the CEV Champions League Final Four. The agreement covers the next two seasons, running until 2028.

PGE Projekt Warszawa is coming off a historic season. In 2025/2026, the Warsaw volleyball team won bronze at the Polish Championship and reached the CEV Champions League Final Four for the first time, earning a place among Europe’s top four teams. Ahead of the new season, the team coached by Roberto Piazza won the Bogdanka Volley Cup, defeating Bogdanka LUK Lublin 3–1 in the final. The squad has been strengthened by Polish internationals Aleksander Śliwka and Bartłomiej Lemański, as well as Yuri Romanò, a two-time world champion with the Italian national team, while PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna has extended its title sponsorship for another four seasons.

For Emitel, the partnership marks another step in its commitment to Warsaw sport and local communities. The cooperation covers the 2026/2027 and 2027/2028 seasons. The partnership also opens up new business opportunities for Emitel, as the company joins the PGE Projekt Warszawa Business Club – a forum for building relationships, sharing experience and developing cooperation with current and future partners.

“For more than 50 years, Emitel has been building the infrastructure that underpins the digital everyday lives of people in Poland – from television and radio signals and towers for mobile networks to smart city solutions and data centres. Reliability, teamwork and constantly raising the bar are the values we share with PGE Projekt Warszawa. We are delighted to support a team that competes with the best in Europe and to share the excitement with its fans,” said Maciej Pilipczuk, President of the Management Board of Emitel.

“We are very pleased to welcome Emitel to the PGE Projekt Warszawa family of partners. Emitel builds the technological foundations of a modern Poland and a modern Warsaw. We value partners who focus on quality, stability and long-term growth, as these same values are close to our club. We want to compete for the highest honours in Poland and in Europe, and Emitel will be with us along the way,” said Piotr Gacek, President of the Management Board and Sports Director of PGE Projekt Warszawa.

Emitel has long been involved in sporting, cultural and educational initiatives across Poland. Among others, the company supports the KKP Warszawa women’s football team and Legia Warszawa’s wheelchair fencing section, and in the cultural sphere it has partnered with the International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition and numerous other cultural events. Warsaw is also an important location for the company’s technology projects – Emitel will build an intelligent street lighting control system for the city’s Municipal Roads Authority (Zarząd Dróg Miejskich), covering more than 110,000 luminaires. The solution will enable the city to reduce energy consumption, improve residents’ safety and respond to faults more quickly.
