On August 19th, Emitel commenced a periodical modernization of a TV antenna system at the RTCN Lublin/Piaski facility. The works carried out are technically very complex and require a lot of effort on the part of Emitel’s specialists. For almost 30 years, the existing antennas have served the inhabitants of the Lubelskie Voivodeship by providing first analog and then digital television signals.

The works will involve the necessity of switching the emission to a backup antenna system. This may cause short-term interference of all FM radio and digital DVB-T broadcasts from this facility from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and a slight deterioration of quality of MUX-1, MUX-2 and MUX-3 digital terrestrial TV multiplexes signal throughout the whole period of work. The works will be completed by 27 September 2019 – by that time we kindly ask the viewers and listeners for understanding.

The Radio and Television Broadcasting Centre RTCN Lublin/Piaski broadcasts radio and television programs for approximately 1.2 million inhabitants of the Lublin Province. Periodic maintenance and modernization of equipment in all broadcasting facilities allows to eliminate the risk of serious failures and loss of the possibility of receiving UKF radio and DVB T television, and thus to maintain the highest quality of services.
